Wii Console Shortage Again This Holiday Season

Well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong and will eat my helping of crow.  A couple of weeks ago I blogged how I thought Wii consoles would be plentiful and there would be no shortages this year,Will Nintendo Wii Shortage Occur During 2008 Holidays?.  Well sadly I was very wrong. 

I've just spent the last 2 days trying to find a Nintendo Wii console and a Wii Fit.  I've scoured the internet, worked the phone lines and found that the console is available if you're lucky, the Wii Fit is next to impossible to find.  So I turned my search to eBay, powered by GetItNext and found what I was looking for at a price that was a couple bucks more than retail and included free shipping.  I never expected that demand in 2008 would be so high.  My advice, shop early before inventory is completely out and there are less bargains to be found on eBay.
