There has been wild speculation for months about whether Directv is going to add MSG HD or not. Well here is the latest evidence that indicates that it is only a question of when not if. Look at the attachment and you will see an MSG HD logo. Personally I can't wait, as an avid Rangers fan I am sick and tired of watching MSG SD which looks so bad I think its a game from the 80's, oh wait maybe its the way the team is playing. If you've tuned to any of these channels and cannot receive them you might not have the proper equipment. You will need the following in order to receive the new HD channels: a 5 LNB Dish, and one of the following MPEG 4 boxes: a HR-20, HR-21, H-20 or H-21 model. Without this equipment you will not be able to receive the signal from the new bird.

I noticed that on Tuesday, October 30th, one additional PPV channel (138) and NBA TV HD(601) were added. The NBA season opener was on Tuesday night. Me being a Knick fan, I also hope MSG HD will come sooner rather than later.
